Marybeth Wootton, President

Marybeth serves as Berico's President for Services, coordinating and aligning the company's diverse projects and programs with leadership priorities, organizational capabilities, and market trends. She oversees Berico's commitment to operational impact through the aggressive pursuit of strategic opportunities and the support of Berico's top-tier talent, while continuing to usher in a new phase of growth for the company. Located in Rosslyn, she directly oversees the two Berico business units, Consulting and Solutions.

Marybeth comes to Berico with 20 years of experience working across the Intelligence Community, the Department of Defense, and Civilian market spaces. Prior to joining Berico, she spent over a decade with PricewaterhouseCoopers where she developed and led a series of highly successful federal projects. When IBM acquired the PricewaterhouseCoopers consulting unit, Marybeth remained and helped build IBM’s services business with key Intelligence and Civilian customers.

She managed and delivered on multibillion dollar projects and focused on business development and capture of several strategic opportunities worth $1B-$2B. Following IBM, Marybeth joined BAE Systems as a Vice President of the services sector integration where she led the effort to coordinate effective business operations across three diverse business units with 17,000 employees and almost 200 locations. She was most recently Vice President of Business Development at Pragmatics, Inc., a privately held business serving the Defense and Federal Civilian communities.

Marybeth holds an A.B. in Economics from Harvard University and an M.B.A. in finance from the Wharton School of Business.

Jeremy Glesner, Chief Technology Officer

Jeremy advises corporate leadership at the convergence of technology, internal operations, and government services. Internal to Berico, Jeremy provides support to business development, technical oversight to include system feasibility and design, cross-pollinization of ideas and approaches between projects, recommendations on training, quality control on corporate staffing, emerging technology investigation and evaluation, as well as help to drive our strategic position and efficacy in key technical areas. Combined, these efforts ensure our collective ability to provide consistent, excellent technical services .

Jeremy continues to serve client partners as a consultant focused on qualitative and quantitative improvements in organizational capability. He is a recognized technologist specializing in enterprise architecture, business process (re)engineering, requirements engineering and analysis, capability gap analysis, software engineering, and development. Jeremy has demonstrated success through the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), including the deployment of those systems in full collaboration with the end user.

He leverages more than nine years of experience supporting the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community in the United States, Europe, and Afghanistan on high-profile projects of national importance. He is a recognized leader dedicated to executing objectives, hard work, and results. Jeremy takes initiative and provides direction and guidance in order to see projects through to successful, intended completion.

Jeremy holds a B.A. in Government and Politics and a B.S. in Computer and Information Science from the University of Maryland (UMD). He is currently pursuing his M.S. in Software Engineering at Drexel University.

Usman Shakir, SVP & Chief Financial Officer

As Vice President of Finance, Usman brings nearly 15 years of experience in finance, accounting and operations to the Berico team. Aligned with the company’s financial and business objectives, Usman will streamline financial processes, enhance productivity levels and introduce process improvements.

Usman comes to Berico from Deltek, Inc. where he was the Global Services Controller, and was responsible for re-engineering key Finance, Accounting, and Operational processes for the Professional Services division to include implementing a new budgeting and forecasting process, establishing and streamlining the use of operational metrics for business reviews, and strengthening internal controls related to accounting operations.

Prior to Deltek, Usman has held senior level finance roles with AOL and MDC Partners, and he began his career in roles with KPMG and GE Capital in Stamford, Connecticut.

Usman holds a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Maryland and is pursuing his Executive MBA, having completed his coursework at the Mason School of Business at the College of William & Mary.

Steve Cubarney, Vice President of Strategy

Steve brings more than 13 years of top-tier Strategy and Management Consulting experience supporting Fortune 500 and Government clients, including the State Department and across the DoD. As the Vice President for Strategy at Berico Technologies, Steve is responsible for defining and executing strategic growth priorities for the company. In this role, he oversees business development and marketing capabilities as well as building and extending Berico’s client and business partner networks.

Prior to joining Berico, Steve was an Associate Partner within IBM’s Public Sector Global Business Services, where he held Service Area Leadership and Defense Account Executive positions.  Prior to IBM, Steve held Senior Management and Strategy Consulting positions with Accenture and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

In these positions, he led strategic planning, solution and personnel development, project delivery excellence, and execution of business objectives.  He is a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt with experiences that include full life cycle Federal Capture, supply chain strategy, performance management, business process reengineering, IT solution development, and ERP implementation. He has led multidisciplinary project teams and supported multi-billion dollar transformation programs.

Steve is a Member and former President of the Board of Directors, for the Washington, D.C. Chapter of the National Defense Transportation Association, for which he has received several leadership and distinguished service awards. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from The Catholic University of America in Washington D.C.

Andrew Faulkner, Vice President of Engineering

Drew Faulkner has over 13 years of experience in engineering, business transformation, information management, business process improvement and automation, and knowledge-based performance management.

Drew currently is Vice President of Engineering for Berico Technologies headquartered in Reston, Virginia. He leads our engineering team in support a diverse portfolio of software engineering programs for the plethora of our federal customers.

From 2003-2010, Drew spent more than seven years holding roles of increasing responsibility with BAE Systems, including his last position as Director, Technology & Process Innovation. Drew also has several years of management consulting experience in both the public and commercial sectors with Digital Management, Inc.; Databasics, Inc.; and PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP Management Consulting Services (now IBM Global Business Services).

Drew holds a B.S.E. degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Princeton University and an M.B.A. from George Mason University’s School of Management.

Eric Fuller, Vice President of Special Programs

Eric is focused on taking Berico's unique brand of technical innovation and applying it to the most challenging operational requirements. From industry leading white papers, executive consulting services and delivery on Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract- Application Management Services, the Special Programs Business Unit is passionate about making the government's mission a success at home and abroad.

Prior to joining Berico, Eric served the National Security Agency from 1997 to 2009 at Fort Meade, U.S. Central Command and various deployed locations. Eric’s personal efforts helped transform NSA’s support to operations and essentially erased the lines between national and tactical in the U.S. Central Command Area of Operations. He was responsible for enabling and providing oversight to over 1000 deployers each year at over 40 locations.

Eric pioneered cutting edge fusion of geospatial and signals intelligence analytic techniques, developed ground-breaking new approaches to targeting and was a renowned expert in translating new technology and techniques to real world operations. Eric has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Information Systems from the University of Phoenix and completed the Persian-Farsi language program at the Defense Language Institute.

Alex Miller, Vice President & Senior Client Executive

As a member of Berico’s executive leadership team, Alex is responsible for providing thought leadership and industry expertise to our clients and Berico personnel. He brings extensive demonstrated ability managing Cyber, IT, Systems Integration, Systems Engineering, Software Development, Analytic, and Product operations in the Intelligence, Department of Defense, and Homeland Security environments.

Prior to joining Berico, Alex held Senior Vice President and General Manager positions at L-3 Communications, STRATIS, for the Intelligence and DoD Communities. He directed specific strategic initiatives focused on national agency analytic “sense making”, “big data”, and Cloud architecture solutions. He also held profit and loss responsibility for a $400M business unit providing Information Technology, Analytic, Cyber, and Mission solutions to NSA, CIA, NRO, NGA and Army and Navy Intelligence Agencies, where he led more than 900 skilled management and intelligence professionals located in the U.S. and overseas.

A retired Rear Admiral, his decorated Naval career was marked by innovation in management, Cyber and Intelligence technical excellence. As Chief of Staff of the National Security Agency, he led a 3,200 person military, civilian, and contractor staff in a corporate business restructuring effort, implemented use of business enterprise architecture, and established a demanding corporate metrics program to support transformation of operational mission to meet the 21st century threats faced by the nation. He has a record of superior leadership in operations and staff positions in the United States, overseas, and at sea.

He holds an Honorary Doctorate of Laws from Wabash College, an MA in Government from Georgetown University, an MPA from the University of Oklahoma, and a BA in Political Science/Economics from Wabash College. He is a graduate of the Harvard Executive Fellows Program and serves as an Adjunct Instructor for George Mason’s School of Applied IT. He is a Board Member for the National Military Intelligence Foundation and a member of AFCEA’s Intelligence Committee.
